One of my ggg=grandmothers was named Martha Skiles; she married a Harris. I love the thoughtful pose of this picture.

ReplyDelete"My" Martha Skiles was from Kentucky, but I believe her family was originally from Pennsylvania (Lancaster/Chester area). I read somewhere that all of the Skiles in this country may be related. Some of the names that recur in my line are Thomas and Henry; I think there are also some collateral Jacobs.
