Wordless Wednesday

This was my grandfather's last driver's license. He passed away in 1987.

Until I saw his birthday typed out in the format shown here, I didn't see the significance of the date of what would have been his 100th birthday to those of us who lived thru that day.

  1. Cherie, my mother's parents married September 11, 1943. I had never really made note of it (they divorced when Mom was 3), but after the terrorist attacks, I know I'll never forget their wedding date.

  2. I had gotten up that day knowing it was the 100th anniversary of his birth. It is to me the most important significance of that day to me.

Don't be shy...say anything :)
